Individual Course Cost
Please visit the BOOK YOUR COURSE page as the individual course cost varies, depending upon the course venue. All of the courses we run for the individual are held at a Premier Inn, all courses have a buffet lunch included. (Some courses are not offered, offsite)
Our Emergency Paediatric First Aid course covers the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in situations which arise when looking after children including unconscious casualty, bleeding, respiratory disorders, shock and anaphylaxis. This course caters for higher risk environments.
140,000 children die each year in situations where first aid could have helped save their lives, which is as many as die from cancer. This startling figure is more than four times the number who die of lung cancer each year, the most common cause of death from cancer.
The content includes the focuses on emergency scenarios that everyone may face dealing with & looking, babies and young children.
Course Duration & Qualification
Our one-day course lasts for three years before you need to requalify. You will be presented a FAA Level 3 (QCF) award in Emergency Paediatric first aid Certificate.
Covers how to help a baby or child who is:
Unresponsive and breathing
Unresponsive and not breathing, including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
Course evaluation and closure
Suffering from shock
Burnt or has a scald
Having a seizure
