If you are called on to give CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) in an emergency, you will most likely be trying to save the life of someone you love: a child, a spouse, a parent or a friend. 70 per cent of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in homes. Unfortunately, only about 46% of people who experience an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest get the immediate help that they need before professional help arrives.
We cover Basic Life Support and Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator. A casualty’s survival rate will dramatically increase if an AED is available and if you have appropriately qualified personnel to use it.
Course Duration & Qualification
Our half-day, Basic Life Support & Safe Use of an AED course lasts for three years before you need to requalify. You will be presented an FAA Level 2 (QCF) award in Basic life support and safe use of Automated External Defibrillator Certificate.
